OK people:

This week is the final dinner, the last FWL night of the year.
The theme is op-shop, so hit up those Vinnies/Salvos shops, grab some old and funky stuff, and come along for a great night to finish off the year.
See you there: 7-9pm, Friday.
Sam.

All the leaders are away. Kristy and I are in Adelaide… and I’m not sure about Kat and Seryna!
To ease the pain of not having FWL for a week though, come along to church on Sunday:

We’ve got a BBQ going, it will be relaxed, there’s lots of FWL-aged people (and a good proportion of FWLers go too, so if you haven’t been before you’ll know people).
We hang out, and hear what God has to say. It’s a blast.
6.30pm, Sunday night. At church, funnily enough (that’s upstairs).
Give it a go. Come along. Check it out.
Sam.

Heya.
This week at FWL we’re doing whatever you want to do, basically. We’ll have some ping pong, cards, board games, sport equipment. Come along, hang out, have fun, chat, etc. It’ll be great.
Next week, we’re going to the beach. You’ll need to grab a permission note – either get one from us tonight, or download one here. We’re going to be leaving church for the beach at 6pm.
Get that?
6pm.
If you’re late… well, you probably won’t be going to the beach. And that would be a shame.

Heya.
This week is going to be something a little different. It’s ‘Judge Judy’ night – which means we’re going to do some courtroom shenanigans.
If you want to do something before you get there, we’re going to be looking over the night at Psalm 51, and how God judges, so if you want to read it before Friday that would be cool.
Anyway, we’ll see you there. 7-9pm, Church hall.

Hey all.
The church fete is coming up – it’s the 11th of August (the day after we go ice skating). We – FWL, that is – are looking after the kids program on the day. It’s not difficult stuff, we just need to help run some activities (such as lucky-dips, face-painting, etc).
So, we need some volunteers.
The stall is running from 10am till about 4pm, so if you’re able to come down for an hour or two (or more), please email me and let me know. If you don’t have my email address, then click the ‘contact’ tab at the top of the page, and fill in the form.
If you come down, you’ll get an exclusive FWL t-shirt. The logo is above. Pretty cool.
So, please help out if you can. Ta.
Sam.

Hi all.
I’m about to go away for a week, and you are all about to have 20 or so people from Bible college descend on church for a week in return (isn’t that sweet – they’re replacing me… and John and Mel… with 20 people!).
Why? Well, as most of you would know, I’m a student at a Bible College. Each year we take a week off classes and go to churches around Sydney and beyond, and help them run a mission to reach out to their local community, their friends, family, work and school colleagues, with the gospel of Jesus.
So I’m going down to St George North for a week. Highlights of my week are looking like speaking at a wine-and-cheese night on spiritual discernment – that is, there is more to life than collecting good wine. At the end of life we’re going to meet God, so the important discernment to have now is spiritual discernment, considering the life and work of Jesus Christ. I’m also going to the footy with the youth group on Friday.
What’s on at West Lindfield? The week is called ‘A Better Life‘, and there’s heaps of stuff happening not only at our church but also at Lindfield and East Lindfield too. Check out the website for more info.
And most significantly, there’s the youth rally on Friday to get along to, and take your friends.
Hope you have a good week. I’ll be praying for you, that your friends will come along and hear about the life-changing Jesus.
Catch you later.
Sam.

Is your life full, yet you feel empty? School, work, pleasing parents, music, footy, watching tv, playing sport, shopping, … empty?
What’s the meaning of life?
This Friday night there is a huge youth rally on just that idea at Lindfield Anglican Church. Youth from all over Lindfield and Killara will be coming to hear of Jesus and meet some great people. There’s a going to be an awesome band there called Garage Hymnal – the night will be great.
Come along, bring your friends.
The details:
When: Friday Night 4 May 2007
Time: 7.00 – 9.00 PM
Where: St Albans Anglican Church Lindfield. Cnr Linfield Ave & Tryon Rd (just near the station).
